Three more out for season

USC head coach Lane Kiffin announced Thursday after practice that sophomore offensive lineman Zach Banner, redshirt freshman cornerback Devian Shelton and redshirt sophomore defensive end Greg Townsend will be sidelined for the remainder of the season due to injury.

The Trojans are now without five scholarship players for the 2013 season.

Receivers George Farmer and Steven Mitchell suffered torn ACLs and were ruled out for the year before fall camp even opened.

Kiffin said Banner, 6-foot-9 245-pounds, will undergo hip surgery, that it's a foot injury sidelining Shelton and a knee injury for Townsend.

USC will travel only 56 scholarship players to Arizona State for Saturday's matchup against the Sun Devils.
