It's time for Tuesday's Trojan fast break. Basketball season is quickly approaching, so it's time to get you caught up on the hardwood.
Over to the Galen Center where the guys were able to get work in on the main floor.
The energy was high on the court as head coach Andy Enfield has upped the tempo for the Trojans. As you may recall from watching his team at Florida Gulf Coast during the NCAA tournament, there's definitely a lot more running and speed work than you saw at USC last season.
Since being sidelined with a sprained neck, VCU transfer D.J. Haley was back on the court Tuesday. The 7-footer, who is eligible to play immediately for the Trojans, was limited to no contact, but was getting a good practice in. He did some one-on-one work and ran the sidelines during 5-on-5.
And I caught up with Enfield after practice. He's only a month away from making his coaching debut. Enfield says the team is working on increasing the liveliness and drive on the court. Enfield also said he wants to bring more fun to USC basketball. Sound familiar, Coach Orgeron?
Enfield says his team has been quick to adopt positve attitudes, something junior guard Byron Wesley says starts with joking around in the locker room.
