USC interim head coach Ed Orgeron has delivered on his promise to bring the "fun and joy" back to Trojan Football. For his head coaching debut at Troy, Orgeron lead an amped up squad to a 38-31 win over Arizona.
The Coliseum was roaring on Thursday night after the Trojans got off to a quick 14-0 lead. Fans errupted into USC's newest cheer, and it's all about "Coach O."
Following the game, players gave all the credit to Orgeron's energetic coaching style and new up-tempo, no-huddle offense. Players like USC captain Devon Kennard even went so far as to say, "we'll run through a wall for Coach O."
USC will begin prepping on Sunday for one of their oldest rivals: Notre Dame. USC athletic director Pat Haden said this was a crucial win for the Trojans tonight, as it gives them good momentum moving forward to facing the Fighting Irish next weekend.
