Terrell on fast-paced, physical USC practice

USC guard J.T. Terrell talks about the increased physicality and energy under new head coach Andy Enfield.

It was another physical practice for USC men's basketball over at the Galen Center Saturday morning. Three back-to-back mini-scrimmage, which meant a lot of running for Trojan guard J.T. Terrel.

"I'm tired," said Terrell.

They were the first words out of his mouth following the Trojans' workout. Terrell came out just twice during those 30 minutes of scrimmage play. Althouh he may have been tired, Terrell says the conditioning is helping to improve his endurance.

"I thought today was good, just another chance to get better. Lot of stuff we got to work on. Good scrimmage though," said Terrell.

USC's new head coach Andy Enfield continued to install his up-tempo style of play over at the Galen Center, stopping the play only a handful of times.

"Whenever he stopped us, it's because we weren't pushing the ball," said Terrell. "Fast-paced team trying to get a quick shot up within the first eight seconds of the shot clock."

The Trojans will break things down in a slower workout on Monday, and Tuesday they will return to scrimmage play.
