Williams talks about new coach Jenkins

USC defensive lineman Leonard Williams discusses the coaching style of Pete Jenkins compared to Ed Orgeron.

The dust has settled at USC since Ed Orgeron took over as interim head coach, and because Orgeron will no longer focus on the d-line, Pete Jenkins was brought in to take over.

Trojan defensive lineman Leonard Williams says Jenkins adds a very different--but effective--energy to the unit.

"It's been great. He's a really experienced guy, definitely a veteran. He's definitely a different low-intensity guy unlike Coach O." said WIlliams. "He works a lot on technique, which helps out a lot."

The Trojan D will bring that technique this Saturday as they try to bounce back against Utah after falling to Notre Dame in South Bend last week. Williams says the defense is playing well together, but just needs to execute if they want to get the win.

"My biggest takeaway is just playing together as a defense, I feel like we've played together really well," said Williams. "But we have to carry it over for the rest of the season, we still have a long season left to go."
