Bigelow discusses taking redshirt year

USC defensive lineman Kenny Bigelow talks about his role with the Trojans and red shirting this year.

The 2013 season has reached the halfway point over at USC, and although freshman defensive lineman Kenny Bigelow will be redshirting for the rest of the season, he still says he has learned a lot.

"I feel like I've gotten so much better," said Bigelow. "I've learned so many new techniques and am just thankful for the opportunities I've had here."

While Bigelow won't see any play action on the field this year, he is already looking ahead to next season.

"I just want to drop some more weight and get ready for next year," said Bigelow.

Bigelow is currently 6-foot-4 and 299-pounds and says he wants to get down to 285-pounds.
