Limited numbers for USC at Oregon State

A limited number of USC scholarship players were available to travel and suit up at Oregon State...

The numbers on the scoreboard were in USC's favor by the end of Friday night, reading 31-14 Trojans victory.

But the numbers on the field were not.

Still plagued by injuries, USC sports information announced after the game that the Trojans only traveled 46 "non-redshirting, recruited scholarship players" to Oregon State.

Not included in the 46 are players who were awarded scholarships at the start of the season and players interim head coach Ed Orgeron intends to redshirt at the end of the season (including quarterback Max Browne and offensive linemen Khaliel Rodgers and Nico Falah, and cornerback Chris Hawkins).

The Trojans played without starting right tackle Kevin Graf, who is recovering from an ankle injury. Graf made the trip to Corvallis and was dressed in sweats on the Trojan sideline.

USC's secondary was without freshman standout Su'a Cravens. Cravens injured his groin on a 54-yard interception return a week ago against Utah, he watched his team play from the sideline in sweats as well.

69 players in total made the trip to Corvallis, including 14 walk-ons.
