At long last, the fun is here

USC interim head coach Ed Orgeron's goal when he took over the Trojans program before midseason was to inject fun into football. He's done that... and now, he's winning too.

There's no more need at USC for interim head coach Ed Orgeron to manufacture ways for his to have fun.

They're finally winning again.

And winning – is fun.

When Orgeron took over now five games ago, he did all he could to re-energize this USC program. He introduced the "Trojan Bowl" on just his second day of practice, allowing the third-string and walk-ons to play in their own game while the starters coached them on.

Cookies were once again at training table.

The coaching staff was forced to leave the office by 10pm each night.

All this, done in effort to make football fun again.

And while Orgeron continues to cater good food, take the team to movies, and insists on calling it a night at 10pm – he no longer has to scream at his team to "have fun!"

They're doing it on their own.

"I wanted them to just start believing in each other first," Orgeron explained after the 62-28 win at California. "Believe in each other and have fun in practice, and that's something that leads to winning."

After a 3-2 start and the firing of Lane Kiffin, Orgeron has led USC to a 7-3 mark. He's 4-1 as interim head coach.

There's no need to teach this USC team how to have fun anymore. They've learned how to win… and winning is fun.
