Wheeler talks first blocked field goal

USC offensive lineman Chad Wheeler recaps his first career blocked field goal in the Trojans' 20-17 upset over Stanford.

Stanford kicker Conrad Ukropina lined up for the field goal, kicked the ball straight, but USC offensive lineman Chad Wheeler made sure it didn't go through the uprights.

It was Wheeler's first career blocked field goal, and he says he's just happy he can finally cross it off his list.

Wheeler's block was a major turning point for the Trojans, as they regained momentum and were able to stop the Cardinal from scoring following a USC fumble. Eventually, Andre Heidari kicked it the game-winning field goal as time was running out and the Trojans beat No. 5 Stanford 20-17.

After the game, Wheeler said he's never been an atmosphere like it before as the entire Coliseum emptied out onto the field to join in the celebration.
