Trojans pull away from Boston College

USC improved to 6-3 this seaosn after a 78-62 win over Boston College...

Freshmen lead the way
USC used a balanced scoring attack to defeat Boston College 78-62 on Sunday evening. Five Trojans finished in double digits -- three of them, freshmen.

Freshman starter Julian Jacobs led USC with 16 points, eight rebounds, and five assists. Nikola Jovanovic, also a freshman starter, scored 15 points and grabbed seven boards.

Off the bench, freshman Roschon Prince chipped in 14 points and five boards in just 19 minutes of action for USC

"They keep getting better, that's what college basketball is all about," USC coach Andy Enfield said after the game. "It doesn't matter what grade or class you're in, you're here to improve and it's on them. I thought they had a great week of practice and I saw improvement."

The combined effort of the three freshmen lead to 45 of USC's 78 points.

Pe'Shon Howard scored 14 and Byron Wesley chipped in 12 points in the winning effort.

Perfect inside Galen
Sunday's win over Boston College inside the Galen Center improved the Trojans to a perfect 5-0 at home this season.

3,853 fans came out Sunday night in support of the now 6-3 Trojans.
