Dixon does it
USC signed its much needed tight end in the 2014 class.
Scout has confirmed Ventura (Calif.) St. Bonaventure tight end Bryce Dixon has faxed in his National Letter of Intent.
It came down to a USC versus UCLA battle for the talented four-star recruit. In fact, he almost took his final official visit to Westwood, before once again confirming USC was where he wanted to be.
Down the stretch, it was the academic reputation of USC along with coach Steve Sarkisian's offensive plan that persuaded Dixon to pledge to the Trojans.
Early time for Dixon
Sark's offense often includes personnel packages that include two tight ends.
As the USC depth chart goes, the first two on the field will be Randall Telfer and Jalen Cope-Fitzpatrick. No doubt, No. 3 will be Dixon.
