Tilford recaps visit to USC spring game

It's always hard to believe Upland (Calif.) 2017 athlete Nathan Tilford is just a freshman. At 6-2, 205 pounds, he's already physically developed and has looked good this spring playing safety, running back and receiver.

Nathan Tilford is an impressive freshman and has been strong all spring. He has looked very comfortable playing receiver, making plays down the field but his best position with the pads on will be running back. He has plus size, speed and power and should have a breakout sophomore season.

On the recruiting front, Tilford attended spring games at USC and UCLA the last two weeks and said he enjoyed both schools.

"USC had great energy and really got after it in the pre-game."

"I had a great time at both," Tilford said. "USC had great energy and really got after it in the pre-game. I was watching the running backs and linebackers the most and I was impressed with the talent and the coaching staff. I felt very comfortable there and it was a great time.

"UCLA was similar, great energy and the players really getting after it. The Home Depot Center was a cool place to have the game because it was packed and made for a nice setting. I met some other recruits there and overall, it felt awesome to be out there."

"I didn't get to talk to the coaches at either school, I was just there to watch the game and I enjoyed it. I think both schools have a lot of talent and I'm looking forward to watching them in the pads this season, both should have a great seasons."

Tilford said he's planning to attend some summer camps and take a few unofficial visits but doesn't have anything set right now.
