Bakersfield's Blake Mackey, one of the West Coast top
wide receiver prospects is starting to get a lot of
attention these days.
"I have offers from Washington, Washington State,
Oregon, Oregon State, Cal, and Arizona State. I also
have offers from several Mountain West schools and
So with all the attention this young speedster is
getting, you might be wondering where USC fits in the
deal. " I have no offer from SC. They sent me a letter
saying they wanted to check out a couple of my games
first. I plan on busting out this year, SC would be my
number one choice if they were to offer...Well at
least one of my top choices".
Blake has no current favorite at this point. Even
though he has a brother playing Corner for Colorado,
he has no immediate plan of committing to anyone
soon."I'd like to wait until after my season. I'll
have a better idea who has offered by then". I have no
trips planned, but a Colorado visit is in the works
Blake's numbers last year were 29 receptions of 750
yards, 13 touchdowns. Four of the touchdowns came on
returns, so it kind of gives you an idea of what this
young man is capable of. He ran a best 4.38 forty at
the Nike Combine earlier this year.
