USC recruits 'Getting Open'

USC currently only has one commit in 'The Opening'... but lucky for the Trojans - he's one of their most active recruiters.

The Opening and Elite 11 Finals are set to take place on the Nike Campus in Beaverton (Ore.) July 5 - 11.

The invite-only elite summer camp roster continues to grow... but currently. USC only has one commit in 'The Opening'. Lucky for the Trojans, it's Chuma Edoga, who seems to be their most active recruiter.

Scout's No. 1 overall prospect and USC commit Ricky Town still awaits his invitation to the Elite 11.

USC commits in 'The Opening'
Chuma Edoga, offensive tackle
The Powder Springs (Ga.) McEachern offensive tackle earned his invitation after a dominating performance at the Atlanta NFTC.

The presence of the USC commit, 6-foot-3 277-pound, will literally be huge for the Trojans on the field. It will also be great for USC off the field. Edoga is a loud and proud recruiter for the Trojans, he'll be in the ear of USC's top targets for days on end.

John Burt, Tallahassee (Fla.) Lincoln WR

Byron Cowart, Seffner (Fla.) Armwood DE
Cowart is close with the family of current Trojan Leon McQuay III. The five-star defensive end took a trip to USC this spring and will be a player USC guys will try to continue to recruit at The Opening. He was named the defensive line MVP at the Orlando NFTC.

Dechaun Holiday, San Marcos (Calif.) Mission Hills CB

John Houston, Gardena (Calif.) Serra LB
Houston, the high school teammate of Rasheem Green, is also a heavy Trojan lean. He's another prospect who could sway some prospects to Southern California.
