When will Walker be ready?

When will veteran USC offensive lineman Aundrey Walker be ready to participate in football drills again?

USC senior offensive lineman Aundrey Walker missed all of spring practices recovering from a broken ankle suffered in the Trojans loss to UCLA on Nov. 30.

Walker was present the first two weeks of spring ball on a motorized scooter and in a walking boot.

But the Trojans right guard was missing in action the final three weeks of spring ball. Rumors, unconfirmed by Scout, began to swirl that Walker was in poor academic standing and was possibly considering leaving the Trojans for the NFL's supplemental draft.

A source in the USC program told Scout, upon the release of spring grades in May, that Walker had an 'outstanding' semester in the classroom.

Players are unavailable to speak with the media in the month of June at player-run practices, but Walker was spotted on campus Thursday walking out of the John McKay Center.

He is no longer wearing a walking boot, though he has not participated in either of the Trojans first two player-run practices.

In Walker's absence, redshirt freshman Khaliel Rodgers has been taking first team reps at right guard.
