Cedar Hill (Texas) running back Aca'cedric Ware made the trip west this week to see his childhood favorite Trojans.
Ware arrived in Los Angeles
a day early to see how living on the West Coast is compared to North Texas.
"It's been an exciting experience because this was my first time being in
California," said Ware. "I really enjoyed it. We went to Sunset
Blvd. in Hollywood for the strip and saw different things.
"I could definitely get use to living out here. USC is a nice place,
and the weather… especially the weather. I could definitely get use to
80-degrees and sunny every day.
"The campus is nice. It's not too big -- everything is compact and close.
I don't want to be in a huge environment. I like things close and
that's how USC is.
"The campus and the coaching staff are probably the highlights. Coming
out here was a nice experience."
From Hollywood, Ware headed to Los Angeles to camp at USC for two days.
"The coaches were really cool," said Ware. "I like the way they run
things at SC. The camp was footwork drills, seven-on-seven, bag drills
and that kind of thing.
"It was the same as any other camp. But it was fun and I did good. The
coaches felt I had a pretty good performance."
Ware now has USC, Ohio State and Iowa as the three schools he wants to
officially visit next fall.
"USC is in a good place for me," said Ware. "I think Iowa, Ohio State
and USC all have a pretty good chance right now.
"I will take an official visit to each school, and with my decision, I
want to commit at some point during the season — if not sooner. All
three schools have a good chance, but I just want to take my officials
to each so I can take one last look at them."
Ware a Rising Star
