Video, redshirt freshman Khaliel Rodgers discusses his chance to win a starting spot at USC this fall...
Khaliel Rodgers came to USC as a Scout four-star recruit out of Elkton (Md.) Eastern Christian Academy.
When Rodgers arrived on campus in June 2013, he weighed in at 325-pounds.
The offensive lineman spent his first year redshirting before he was inserted at right guard to rep with the first team during spring practices.
Now, the 6-foot-3 athlete says he's at 290-pounds, which is where he wants to be.
Rodgers remained with the first team throughout the 15 spring workouts as well as the 15 player-run practices this summer as returning starter Aundrey Walker continues to rehab a season-ending ankle injury.
Though the senior and two year starter will be returning to action for the Trojans when fall camp opens, Rodgers is determined he can win the battle at the position.
Players report to fall camp on Aug. 3.
