Uchenna Nwosu back on the team

After missing spring football for undisclosed reasons, Uchenna Nwosu is back working out and getting ready for the 2015 season.

According to USC Sports Information Director Tim Tessalone, sophomore linebacker Uchenna Nwosu is back on the USC football team.

"He is enrolled in summer school, which allows him to participate in workouts where USC staff is present," Tessalone said in an email to USCFootball.com.

Nwosu played in 12 games as a freshman during the 2014 season, but missed the Holiday Bowl for an undisclosed off-field situation. He was not enrolled at USC during the 2015 spring semester, did not take part in spring football practice and his name was removed from the team roster.

Now that Nwosu is enrolled in classes again, he is permitted to take part in team activities, including summer conditioning workouts. The Trojan strength and conditioning coaches began their summer workout sessions on Monday morning, and Nwosu was on Cromwell Field with his teammates taking part.

In our updated Scholarship Distribution Chart we have once again included Nwosu, giving USC an expected 78 active scholarship players heading into the 2015 season.
