Thursday Instant Analysis

Quarterback Max Browne did not know he was going to be getting all of the first team reps. Steve Sarkisian put him in just like a game situation, with no advanced notice.

On Thursday quarterback Cody Kessler missed practice because of graduate school orientation, giving redshirt sophomore Max Browne all of the first team reps. Ryan Abraham and Dan Weber talk about Browne's performance and how Adoree Jackson scored in a unique way by kicking a field goal.

Jackson also scored several times in a more traditional sense, with the ball in his hands. It was day two of Jackson on offense and he continues to do thinks that make your head turn.

Left tackle Chad Wheeler missed practice for a very interesting reason, he was hit in the side of the head with a medicine ball. Su'a Cravens missed practice with back spasms, Justin Davishad a rib injury and Steven Mitchell turned his ankle.

Otherwise this Trojan football team has been fairly healthy, with some players missing practice for various small injuries, but nothing that has appeared to be serious to this point.

The Trojans will hold two more open practices, one on Friday and one on Saturday, both starting at 2:30pm, then practices will be closed for the rest of the season.
