Video: Max Browne's 1st team reps

Redshirt sophomore quarterback Max Browne was thrust into the limelight during USC fall camp when Cody Kessler missed practice because of grad school orientation. He talked to the media about his experience running with the first team.

Quarterback Max Browne has been patiently waiting his turn while Cody Kessler runs this USC offense. But Browne was put in a game-like situation on Thursday when Kessler missed practice and Steve Sarkisian did not tell anyone. It simulated an injury to Kessler and Browne, without prior notice, was given the keys to the offense and ran with the first team.

He had the opportunity to throw the ball to first team receivers like Juju Smith, Steven Mitchell and the very special treat of the rare offensive day for Adoree Jackson.

Browne also talks about freshman quarterback Ricky Town and his decision to transfer out of USC and into the Arkansas program.

As a redshirt sophomore, Max Browne would have two years of eligibility remaining to start for the Trojans, and he looks more than ready to do just that. The former five-star is capable of running this high powered offense and he could see more playing time this year. Sarkisian has said that he wanted to give Browne meaningful reps in games and not just mop-up duty.
