Antioch (Calif.) running back Najee Harris needed only one quarter to eclipse 100 yards rushing and score three touchdowns. Quite possibly the best running back in the country as a junior, Harris ran through, over and around Deer Valley in the first quarter, was used as a decoy in the second quarter and then relaxed on the sideline for all but one play in the second half.
By the time the final minutes were ticking off the clock in Antioch's 62-9 win, Harris was watching with his helmet in his hands and only his socks on his feet as his cleats had long before been taken off. The video highlights above show Harris' strength and cutting ability, but his ability to run away from defenders is best exemplified by a 66-yard touchdown run on his second carry of the game.
While we didn't get a great shot of Harris racing down the sideline after breaking two tackles, here's a look at the long score in GIF form:
Harris is already considered a five-star prospect as a junior. He is committed to Alabama, but plans to let the recruiting process play out. Read more about Najee Harris' recruitment and what he's hearing from USC.
