In June, one of the nation’s top players trimmed his list to five final choices.
Brandenton (Fla.) IMG Academy five-star athlete Dylan Moses narrowed his list of college choices, and while USC was not among his final five, they are still under consideration. Confused?
Moses' list included UCLA, Ohio State, Alabama, Miami and Texas. Moses is set to visit Los Angeles Nov. 26 when the Bruins host USC.
While the Trojans are considered a long shot to land Moses’ commitment, USC has been recruiting him for the past three years tirelessly.
Moses main recruiter has been assistant coach, Johnny Nansen, who originally began recruiting him as a running back.
“With USC it’s mainly Coach Nansen and how he is doing things,” said Moses. “I want to see if their linebackers are able to do great things this season and I want to see how their draft class is.”
Moses said he will take an official visit to UCLA for their matchup with USC, but mentioned that his trip to Los Angeles is a chance to see the West Coast in general. In other words, while Moses implied the schools he will officially visit will be the only schools he looks at, USC may not be completely out of the picture for the nation’s No. 1 athlete.
“They’re still recruiting me as an athlete, and have talked about me play both ways for them,” said Moses. “That’s a neat thing for me.”
