Jermaine Eskridge reveals new top nine, including USC

Four-star 2018 wide receiver Jermaine Eskridge unveiled his top nine schools with USC one of the teams still in contention for his services.

Jermaine Eskridge is one of the 2018 prospects in the state of Florida, but when he narrowed his list of potential schools to nine on Sunday, there was only one college from the state listed.

The 6-foot-3, 195-pound four-star Tampa (Fla) Thomas Jefferson receivers showed that there is a very good chance he will be leaving the state to play his college ball when he released his top nine schools on Twitter.

"I'm blessed for everything but after long talks with mom, family, and close friends here are my top 9 schools," Eskridge wrote.

Rather than a bunch of Sunshine State schools, Eskridge's list has a diverse sample of some of college football's top programs as nearby as Florida State and as far away as Los Angeles.

The USC Trojans were the only West Coast and Pac-12 school. Eskridge also has three SEC schools -- Alabama, LSU and Ole Miss -- and three Big 10 programs -- Ohio State, Michigan and Wisconsin. The other outlier to fit with USC and Florida State is West Virginia. All three schools are in separate conferences.

Eskridge is the No. 5 Florida receiver in the 2018 calss and No. 19 in the nation at his position. He is currently rated No. 112 in the Class of 2018 Scout 100.

A rangy receiver that is a big target in the red zone, Eskridge does a really good job of high-pointing the football and has large hands that snag the ball out of the air.
