LB Poly

The Rabbits are always one of the top teams in Southern California and this year they are ranked #5 in the region with the 2-1 record. They have lost four games in the last three years inluding two to DeLaSalle and one each to Mater Dei and Clovis East.

#1 WR DeSean Jackson (JR) - A sure handed pass catcher who is also an outstanding baseball player.

#4 WR Derrick Jones (SR) - One of the top wide receiver recruits on the Trojan wish list due to his 10.4 speed.

#5 DB Rodney Van (SR) - Has given a soft commitment to UCLA. A good athlete who participated in four events at the state track meet last year.

#7 WR Terrance Austin (SO) - A sophomore to watch.

#24 CB Byron Velega (SR) - A talented corner who has been receiving recruiting attention recently from the Trojans.

Mission Viejo The Diablos come into the game riding a 31 game win streak with a #11 national ranking courtesy of USA Today. Bob Johnson has led his team to back to back CIF Div 2 titles.

#4 DE Nick Reed (JR) – Very quick off the end with good size (6-2, 230).

#6 QB Mark Sanchez (JR) – A Trojan recruit to watch. Sanchez transferred from Santa Margarita and has put together a solid early season. Has all the tools to be one of the top players around next season.

#20 WR/DB Marty Tadman (SR) – Tadman is one of the best all around players in the state. He has been offered by Arizona but that list should grow as he continues to impress with his solid play.

#42 FB Chane Moline (SO) – Started four playoff games last year as a freshman. Already a big-time player at 6-1, 225.

#44 LB Jed Collins (SR) – One of the best run stuffing linebackers around with over 100 tackles last year.

#61 LT Kevin Bemoll (JR) – Takes over for Drew Radovich on the offensive line and there are some at the school who think he has more potential than the Trojan freshman.

A special pre-game edition of the LA Times High School show will air live from MVHS at 6:30pm.
