Bernard Riley injury

Trojan defensive tackle Bernard Riley is scheduled to have reconstructive knee surgery in few weeks and is lost for the season

Trojan defensive tackle Bernard Riley is scheduled to have reconstructive knee surgery and is lost for the season.

Riley has been one of the most solid performers on the defense so far this year and the loss would be a major blow to a USC team that can't afford to be without players like Bernard.  The injury occurred during the Washington game but Riley put a brace on and was able to go back in but later test results showed that the injury was worse than originally feared.  Bernard will see a doctor on Tuesday and surgery will take place in a few weeks when the swelling goes down.
