Byers named National Player of the Year

Trojan commit Jeff Byers was named the Gatorade National High School Football Player of the Year, the first offensive lineman to win the coveted award in its 19 year history.

Byers is considered a dominant player on both sides of the ball although he will stick with offense at USC. He led Loveland HS to a state championship with 203 tackles on defense and dominant pancake statistics on offense.

Jeff chose the Trojans over Iowa, Texas, Michigan and others. Top Stories
