Darnell Bing update
S Darnell Bing may be the most talented player on what could be the most talented HS football team in CA history. In fact, when former Poly coach Jerry Jaso was asked last year about his talented junior class, the first name he mentioned was Bing's. Jaso thinks that Bing will eventually play on Sundays and many scouts agree. At "6-3 and 218 lbs", Bing possesses a LB's body in the secondary. Combine that with "high 4.3 low 4.4" speed, and you've got a freakish talent. I had a chance to talk to this amazing athlete tonight and he tells me he does not have a leader as far as potential colleges are concerned. Right now, he likes various schools from "the Pac-10 and the SEC", but will be cutting his list down near the end of his season. When I asked him what he likes about USC, he told me "just the whole program." To be more specific, he then went on to tell me that he likes his chances of getting early PT as a Trojan. His main strength is "coming up and making big plays when needed." As for his weakness, he says that "man coverage" is something that he would like to work on.
