The No. 1 team sports and recruiting network in America in terms of reach, coverage and syndication, TheInsiders.com launches its sixth year of National Letter of Intent Day coverage.
TheInsiders.com has become the largest and most trusted source of recruiting coverage on the Internet and, according to the latest Nielsen NetRatings, is the largest independent college team sports network on the Web, with 1.55 million audited unique visitors per month, 600,000 more than its closest competitor. TheInsiders also syndicates more than 1,000 recruiting and team news stories per day to FOXSports.com, SportsIllustrated.com, SportsLine.com and Yahoo! Sports (sports.yahoo.com), exposing that content to an aggregate audience of 26 million sports users per month.
TheInsiders.com is the official recruiting content provider to SportsIllustrated.com, with whom it released on Monday a co-branded All-America team for the second straight year. TheInsiders also was recently chosen by CBS Sportsline as the official and exclusive source of college recruiting news for its online premium service and as the official college team website partner for all of FOX Sports team sites.
Headlining the network's LOI coverage are national football recruiting analysts Jamie Newberg and Allen Wallace, who will bring their expertise to thousands of living rooms across the country on Wednesday, Feb. 4.
Newberg, who has been covering college football recruiting since 1992, will appear on a 90-minute recruiting special that will be broadcast by FOX Sports Net South and picked up by the Sunshine Network, 6:30 p.m. to 8 p.m., Eastern, on Wednesday night. Wallace, the nationally respected publisher of SuperPrep Magazine since 1985, will appear on the two-hour primetime CSTV Crystal Ball: Football's National Signing Day special on Wednesday, 9 p.m. Eastern, and 6 p.m., Pacific, on CSTV: College Sports Television (www.cstv.com), the fastest-growing independent cable network.
Chris Pool, TheInsiders.com's Midwest analyst, also will be featured on FOX Sports Net Midwest coverage of LOI Day on Wednesday.
TheInsiders.com team blankets recruiting coverage via Scout, a national database that follows players from high school to the professional ranks. The network's online coverage is supplemented by glossy print magazines, including the National Recruiting Yearbook, which is included free with annual online subscriptions and memorializes the information fans have been following all year.
