Terry Richardson, 6'1, 190 lbs, of Corona Centennial was having trouble narrowing his list down the last time we talked to him and not much has changed since then. When the stand out athlete was asked to list his favorites, he replied, "Shoot, everybody still. Basically, everybody on the west coast." However, Richardson did go on to list ten schools under consideration, in no order of preference, "SC, Washington, Washington State, Oregon, Oregon State, Colorado, Arizona, Arizona State, San Diego State, Fresno State, and UNLV." As anyone can see, this blue-chipper won't be committing anywhere soon. "I don't have a leader right now" remarked Richardson. "What I'm trying to do is work on my trips." He has yet to schedule any of those official visits, but he did mention one northwestern school that he intends on visiting, "For sure, I think I'm going to visit Washington. I'm not sure on the other one's yet."
On the topic of his priorities in choosing a school, Richardson spoke in depth and it's plain to see that he is putting a lot of thought into his decision, "location, education, the number of majors they have available, so when I am ready to pick a major I have a wide variety. What is there to do when the season is over, you know, what's going to keep me busy. The history of the players that they send to the NFL, because that's what I want to do one day."
Of particular interest to Trojan fans is what Richardson had to say about the USC coaching staff and their recruitment of the star receiver/safety. The staff obviously has him as a high priority and it shows, "I mean, if I had to say who's recruiting me the hardest, its SC. I can talk to all of them, you know, like they're my uncle or related to me. They're all just easy to talk to and players coaches." He went on to say that he is being recruited as an athlete by the Trojan staff.
Richardson and Corona Centennial are having a great year and are coming off an impressive 55-13 victory over Corona Santiago to improve to 9-0. In the win, Richardson had 7 catches for 106 yards in only one half of play because of the blow out. On the year, he has 46 catches for 812 yards from his receiver spot.
Richardson has been to a number of Trojan games and he said that he'll be in the stands this weekend for the game against UCLA, "Yeah, they invited me. I'll be at that one."
