North Hollywood (CA) RB Marlon Lucky (5-11, 200, 4.5) says there is a 90% chance he'll head to USC (offer), which leads big over LSU (offer), Florida, Washington (first to offer in March) and Tennessee (childhood fave). Arizona and Mississippi St also offered.

"I like a lot about them," Lucky, aka "Busta", says of the Trojans. "I like their coaches, their fans and their tradition in football. They produce a lot of RBs and Heisman Trophy runners.

"I've been to the USC campus many times, like 10 times. They say they like my running style and my attitude. USC offered me about three weeks ago and Pete Carroll called me about it this month. The only other school to call me so far is San Jose St. I'm going to the USC camp (6/28) and that's the only one, probably because they are the closest. But I might have gone to the Tennessee camp on 6/12, but I have to take my ACT on that day.

"I've got a lot of family in Louisiana. It's on my mom's side and some live in Baton Rouge. That'll be a factor. I've been to Louisiana many times for family reunions. LSU was champs too last year. I don't know much about their football program though.

"As far as Florida goes, I like the weather, the colors and the area. I like the state. I've been to Miami three times for family things.

"I've never visited Washington but I've been to Tennessee twice. I saw Tennessee win the '98 Sugar Bowl. I like the colors and their big stadium.

"UCLA is recruiting me a little, but not a lot. I don't know why. They probably wouldn't be in my top five if they offered.

"But USC has a big lead. They've been recruiting me since last year, sending me letters and questionnaires. Coach (Greg) Burns is the coach who is recruiting me. I've met their RBs and I like 'em. Reggie Bush is tight. He's cool. He talks about how much he likes the school.

"I was born in Hawthorne, Ca, and lived here for one year before I moved to Dallas where I stayed until I was 13, then moved back to Calif. I live with my uncle and my guardian (Wayne Padden). He really likes USC too and hopes I go there.

"I'll probably commit somewhere in Oct or Nov.

"I'd say my strengths are my cutting ability, vision and good hands. I think I'm like Barry Sanders (cutting ability) and Marcus Allen (hands). I'd like to be able to run better with the ball in my left hand and I could also improve my blocking."
