"I'm a sure tackler and I just make plays."
He was first team all-league as a junior after he rushed for 1,400 yards and 15 touchdowns on offense at running back. On defense, he had 95 tackles, eight for loss, two interceptions (one for a touchdown) and a pair of sacks.
Ellison was one of the top players at the Stanford Nike Camp but he was not pleased with his overall performance.
"I did all right in the drills but in the testing I thought I could've done better. I ran a 4.71 in the 40 and I've been timed at 4.6 flat before."
It's been a busy month for Kevin as he's been hearing from some of the top schools on the West Coast.
His brother Keith plays at Oregon State but he says he will make his college choice based on where he feels comfortable and right now the Trojans are his "slight leader".
"So far the SC coaches are just telling me to keep working hard because they're going to be watching me. I went to their skills camp last month and they told me they like the way I competed. Coach Carroll is supposed to come by my school this week. I'm definitely interested in USC. They are close to home, that's a big plus, and they are the national champs."
Ellison will attend the UCLA one day camp and the USC summer camp.
