The "Classic" schedule is highlighted by Concord De La Salle vs. Long Beach Poly (2001), the only time that the nation's #1 and #2 teams have ever met. Other games feature the Mater Dei vs. Long Beach Poly Division 1 championship in 1998 that made future USC star Matt Grootegoed a high school football legend and the Hail Mary pass to determine the Los Alamitos vs. Hart outcome.
For ten straight Sunday nights at 8:00 PM on FSN West 2, football fans have a chance to enjoy some of Southern California's classic prep gridiron contests. The "Classic" games were selected from nearly 90 games that the regional sports network has telecast. The games are replayed the following Monday nights at 11 PM.
