Wells gives recap of USC visit

Sandalwood (FL) running back Maurice Wells paid an official visit to USC this past weekend and WeAreSC caught up with the talented back to get an update on how it went.

"I got out there early Saturday, me and my dad took a 6:00am flight and we went straight from the airport to the Coliseum. We got some food and then went down to the field for pre-game, after that we went into the stands for the game and then into the locker room when it was over. It was crazy, a big game like that with SC and Cal, the fans were definitely hyped. A couple people recognized me and that was a surprise considering I'm from Florida but I guess SC fans really follow recruiting.

"Keith Rivers was my host and we hung out after the game. He's from Florida too and we played each other last year in the playoffs. It was cool, he introduced me to a lot of the other players and we hung out with some of his friends and played video games. We went to a party after that, it was pretty fun, there are some good looking ladies in L.A.

"On Sunday we went to breakfast in Manhattan Beach with Pete Carroll, my dad and the other recruits who were on the visit (Ekom Udofia and Desmond Bishop). My dad and Coach Carroll got to talk a lot and my dad got all his questions answered, he liked the trip a lot.

"I definitely got a better impression of USC by taking the visit and it was better than I thought it would be. The players were really cool and I talked to a lot of people who weren't from L.A. and all of them said they love it and they wouldn't go back to where they are from.

"Right now I've got USC, Ohio State and Georgia Tech as my top three but I'm also liking Maryland, Tennessee, Florida and Florida State. We'll see what happens, I've got one more trip to set up and then I guess I'll have to be making a decision."
