Chris Doyle is an offensive lineman from Mater Dei who has given a verbal commit to the Trojans and was on the recruiting trip this past weekend with the following thoughts:
"My host on the trip was Matt Leinart, a fellow Mater Dei guy, and we just had a great time. The entire weekend was first class and on Friday night we went to Reign and it was pretty entertaining because we saw Method Man there. After that we went out on the town and had a lot of fun.
On Saturday we took a tour of campus and got to meet the President of the school, the athletic director and took a tour of all the facilities and everything. They told us the recruits rarely get to meet the President and we were pretty happy about that. Me and Winston met for a while with the offensive line coach and went over blocking schemes and plays. They want me to come to as many spring ball practices as possible to learn the center position and lifting program.
At the Papadakis restaurant last night they had a dinner and we were told that Dominique Byrd committed to the Trojans and the coaches were pretty excited about that. We all went to a brunch at Coach Carroll's house today and each player met individually with coach. When they came out one by one we were told that Hershel, Manuel Wright and Darnell Bing all committed as well. The coaches were just so happy and they had all of us take a group photo as the future "Trojan Family" and everybody was real pumped. It was cool for me on this trip because I knew all the Poly guys from the California vs Florida game but Winston said he still wants to take his trip to Tennessee before he makes a final decision. I was surprised the others committed because they were all talking earlier on the trip about taking other trips but all I know is this gives us an awesome recruiting class and I couldn't be happier."
