Pete Carroll - USC Head Coach
On the Injury updates of LenDale White and Manuel Wright:
"Manuel (Wright) finished practice out there so he's ready to go. He's not going to be in the best of football condition, but we would spot play him any way at this time. LenDale (White) had his best practice by far. He will get some work just to get the rehab going. But we're in pretty good shape. I wouldn't count LenDale out right now. He looked pretty good today. LenDale is much better than he been."
On the team's kicking situation:
"Ryan Killeen has had some ups and downs, but he's had some spells when he's been right on the money. He's kicked the ball great in practice and I have no worries. We haven't attempted a lot of long ones as long as we've been here, but it's not about distance. But he can easily hit from 52-53 yards. Its not about distance, we just don't attempt them a lot."
John Drake – Offensive Guard
On focusing for Tuesday's game:
"It has been a long road to get here and it is almost game time. You just have to get your mind right because every time we come out and practice you give yourself a better chance to win the Orange Bowl. My mindset is that you don't win games on game day, you win games during the week."
On his ankle and watching from the USC-UCLA game injured on the sidelines:
"It is great, I am ready to go. It was really tough but I am fortunate and blessed to be able to come back and play my senior year. How else would you want to finish off your collegiate career than with a national championship game? I can't complain."
On whether people are questioning the young offensive line:
"Going back to the beginning of the season the number one question about our team was what the offensive line would look like, how they would do, and how they would be. We have been dealing with this question all year. Our job is to go out there and let our play do the answering for us."
Manuel Wright – Defensive Tackle
On whether there is any chance his injury will keep him out of Tuesday's game:
"Not at all, my foot feels good. I just have to keep icing it and get ready for the game."
On gaining confidence by practicing:
"This helps my confidence tremendously. I was kind of doubting myself before because it (the injury) was kind of bothering me. But I got off the ball and was able to make a few plays and that makes it feel better. I can still play with it so it has done wonders for me personally."
Ryan Killeen – Place Kicker
On preparing for the pressure of a national championship game:
"I am just preparing. I am going to go into this just like I go into any other game. Every game this year for us has been a shootout and we have a target on our backs. This is just another game, so we prepare for it the same way."
On ending the season on a high note and what it does for his confidence level:
"I definitely gained confidence and have gotten a little rhythm going. It boosts your confidence mentally and you're ready to go."
On his field goal range:
"We are not really a long-range field goal team. We have a good offense. I would say the range is fifty yards and in. Fifty yards and in is probably what we shoot for."
Mike Patterson – Nose Tackle
On the time off since the last game:
"We have stayed focused the whole time. We keep everything at full speed and are ready to get this game started."
On the OU offensive line:
"They play really good, technique-wise. They're really tough and they have thick skin."
th Rivers - Linebacker
On how he views the bowl game:
"If all other games were treated the same, we wouldn't be here. This game is just as important as any game we've ever played. Obviously, it the national championship game and it has the same importance; you just want to go out there and get a win."
LenDale White - Tailback
On his playing status:
"I'm back, I feel good and ready to play."
