Walker has California roots

Arkansas defensive tackle L.T. Walker (6-4, 290, 5.0) says USC leads slightly over Arkansas (offer), Mississippi (offer), Notre Dame and Florida State. This defensive ace from Wynne High School actually lived in Pasadena, California, until the ninth grade. "I lived there for 13 years and if I can get back out that way I will," said Walker. "USC's program has won the national championship for the past two years and they're a great program."

"All of the coaches from the programs that haven't offered me in my top five have sent me letters and stuff. I'm in contact with them all, but they still haven't indicated if they'll offer.

"Arkansas is my #2 school right now and they were the first to offer. They're a good program and I've met the coaches there plenty of times. I've also made a lot of friends out here and a lot of them are going there too. Plus they're not too far from home and it's a good school," he said.

"Ole Miss is recruiting me the hardest right now. I actually spoke with coach (Ed) Orgeron today. He's a great guy and coach, and he came from USC, so he knows how to get a program to greatness. They've got a lot of great coaches at Mississippi and I think that's real good.

Walker also claims to have offers from Tennessee and Oregon.

He has been to LSU's JR Day and will be at the Scout.com combine in New Orleans on May 21.

"This summer I'd like to take an unofficial visit to Notre Dame. I also want to take camps at Mississippi, Arkansas and LSU. I want to make my decision on a program by the end of the season and closer to Signing Day.

"I've got great quickness and I locate the ball well. I also use some good technique. I want to get back to the state championship this season and be more of a leader on the team so that I can help out with the younger guys' game."
