Summer visit by Murray to USC

Las Vegas, Nevada running back DeMarco Murray (6-0, 185, 4.4) of Bishop Gorman High School and his family have seen the recruiting process escalate to a level they never imagined.

"It's getting crazy," said DeMarco's father Kevin. "We're getting a couple of calls a day from coaches or guys like you."

The Murray's aren't bothered by the calls and are enjoying the recruiting process. DeMarco plans to unofficially visit seven campuses this summer.

"I think I'll visit Oklahoma, USC, Florida State, Florida, Miami, Michigan, and Wisconsin, Murray said."

Murray recently added USC to list of schools he'll visit.

"I talked to Pete Carroll a few weeks ago and I'll visit USC on June 30," Murray said. "He said he wanted me to come down to Los Angeles and hang out for a few days."

Murray said the Trojans will also get an official visit from him in the fall.

"USC is definitely a school in my top-five," Murray said. "I've talked to Coach McNair and Coach Carroll a couple of times. They talk about using me like Reggie Bush because of my ability to catch the ball and run."

Murray claims he does not have a favorite among his top-8 schools and will take his time making a decision where he'll commit. However, he does know what he's looking for in a school and their football program.

"I'm looking for school that has good academics, good team chemistry, a coaching style I'm comfortable with and a place where we can compete for national championships," Murray said. "I also want an opportunity to compete for playing time as a freshman."

Murray has said he will likely commit at the Army All-American game sponsored by Scout.com if he's selected to participate.
