O/NSO - ESPY edition

The American Film Institute recently released a list of the 100 most famous silver screen quotes of all-time and in the spirit of the O/NSO we see that many of these famous lines could easily transcend from the world of USC football.

The Obvious – Hollywood is the home of celebrities, memorable lines, and award ceremonies, so it was appropriate that USC Heisman Trophy quarterback Matt Leinart, Trojan football coach Pete Carroll, and the 2004 USC national championship football team were all part of the sports celebrity for Wednesday evening's taping of the ESPY Awards at the Kodak Theatre, home of the Academy Awards.

The Not So Obvious – While Trojan fans will be able to watch the pre-taped ESPY Awards on Sunday evening (6 p.m. PDT) with Leinart receiving his Best Male College Athlete Award, the Hollywood connection and ESPY Awards reminded us of the American Film Institute's recently released list of the 100 most famous silver screen quotes of all-time. In the spirit of the O/NSO, we see that many of these famous lines could easily transcend from the world of USC football. So turn on the searchlights, a little pancake makeup, maestro, and crank up some of Irving Berlin's "There's No Business Like Show Business."
