Tuesday practice report

The Trojans got back to work on Tuesday after a day off on Monday for the start of classes and they had a solid shorts and shoulder pads practice.

One guy who really jumped out today was LenDale White. He broke off a long TD run in the run drill on Brian Kennedy Field and then he had a few long runs during the team drills later in the day. LenDale was also involved in one of the unique plays of the day when a pass was throw over the middle of the field and Keith Rivers was coming up to make a play on the ball but it tipped off his fingers and went back toward the line of scrimmage before LenDale came running out of nowhere to pick it up before it hit the ground and he was able to go for more yardage. It was similar to the Franco Harris "Immaculate Reception" play.

Dwayne Jarrett also had a nice day. He had a pair of touchdown passes and one play where he caught the ball along the sidelines and as he came down he gave the corner a little shove to get him away so that Dwayne could gain more yardage. It was definitely a veteran move on his part.

Drew Radovich practiced today after sitting out for a week and a half with a neck injury. Drew looked pretty solid out there and after practice he said he is now wearing a neck brace that is similar to one he wore in high school and he said it gives him a good feeling to have the brace back on. Players have a lot of superstions or habits and if it helps him both mentally and physically to wear the brace then that's good news.

Patrick Turner sat out the last half of practice with a migraine headache. Others who sat out included Oscar Lua (boot on ankle, bruised muscle in leg, should be back in a couple days) and Will Harris (wearing tennis shoes on both feet so the sprained ankle didn't require a boot).
