One of the top players on the wish list at WR this year is Anthony Hill from First Coast HS in Jacksonville, FL. Hill has size (6-3, 200) and speed (4.4 40) in addition to playmaking ability as last year he totalled 56 receptions for 816 yards and 6 touchdowns.
"I'm a mixture of a big-play guy who can also catch the short pass and turn it into a long pass. I go across the middle a lot but basically I'm a player who can strike from anywhere on the field. I also return punts and kickoffs.
I started talking with Coach Kiffin at USC after they were writing me letters and we had a real good conversation. I also talked with Coach Carroll and he explained to me their offense and what they are trying to do and I think it's an offense I can succeed in. My goal is to come in and make an immediate impact as a freshman and I really like how they want to establish a go-to featured receiver because I think I could be that guy. I sent them a tape and pretty shortly after that they FedEx'ed me some information and then Coach Carroll called and verbally offered me a scholarship. He seemed like a pretty nice guy, definitely someone I could play for. I'm not too big on needing to stay close to home so that's a school I'll be taking a long look at. Some of my other favorites at this point at Florida, Florida State, Miami, LSU, Tennessee and North Carolina."
Anthony says the Trojan coaches will be paying him a visit this month during the evaluation period and we will follow up after that visit to see how things went.
