Recruit to watch: RB Lendale White

It seems as if every college in the country is looking for a "big back" and one of the best is Lendale White (6-1, 225) of Chatfield HS in Colorado and right now he is strongly considering the Trojans

"I know USC is a big running back school, they're known as Tailback U, and I know if I went there they would have the mindset I'm looking for.  One of my all-time favorite players is actually the Juice, O.J. Simpson, he was just a great running back and because of him I was always watching USC on TV and following the team.

I consider myself a big running back.  I've got power and for my size I've got some pretty good speed.  I guess you could say I mix power and speed, I can run over you if I have to but I'd rather go around you.  I think my running style might be similar to guys like Stephan Davis, Eddie George or Fred Taylor.

I don't really have a set Top 5 lists of schools at this point but if I did then USC would definitely be on it.  I've lived my whole life in Colorado and it's 100% certain that I'll be leaving the state."

White is 6-1, 225 with a 4.53 40 in his most recent attempt as well a 495 squat and max on the bench of 10 reps at 225 lbs.  With 6,223 rushing yards in his career Lendale is already the career rushing leader for the Colorado 5A division and if he stays healthy he should become the overall leader midway through this coming season.  He spent his freshman and sophomore seasons at South HS in Denver before transferring to Chatfield and leading them to an undefeated 14-0 season and a state 5A title.  He added that he does plan to attend the USC vs Colorado game in Boulder this fall.
