Anthony McCoy is a Trojan

Fresno Bullard star athlete Anthony McCoy confirmed this morning that he has given a verbal commitment to USC.

"Yeah, I'm a Trojan," said McCoy. "Coach Seto came by my place last week for an in-home visit and we had dinner, talked and watched highlight films. After that we started talking about what I wanted to do and that's when I came out with the commitment."

Anthony had narrowed his final choices down to USC, Cal or Fresno State before deciding he'd had enough of the recruiting process.

"I always wanted to go to USC and I got tired of stalling. It was time."

McCoy says he is being recruited at wide receiver for the Trojans although many scouts believe he can also end up at tight end or defensive end with his tremendous athleticism. Anthony is 6-4, 230 and runs in the 4.6 range. He helped lead his team to the CIF-Central Section Div 1 title game last Friday where they fell short to Bakersfield by a score of 35-28.

Anthony is scheduled to take his official visit to USC on December 16th and we will talk with him after that for a full report.
