"The coaching staff is real cool, and I like the way they do things. I mean, just knowing how much they really wanted me to go there and I can stay close to home. I wanted to be in the Pac-10 for sure, it's the best place for me. Plus the coaches are really up to date with us, being high school seniors going into college."
Wright recently played in the Cali-Florida Bowl, and enjoyed going up against the best competition throughout the week.
"The whole week in practice was cool and it was a real turning point for me, being around so many athletes. Because in high school we really didn't have that many athletes. It was real cool to meet all the players and hear where they're going. It showed me that I can really play db against all these guys, and it's not just a fluke. Vincent Jospeh was my roomate, and he's a real cool dude. Plus we're both being recruited by the same schools."
Wright recently headed down to San Antonio to watch and support fellow Trojan commit Allen Bradford in the Army All-American Game, and came away very impressed.
"It was real cool to see how big the game was, because it's a lot bigger then I thought. It was fun to go down there and kick it with all the players, and we were trying to get some people to come over to SC. David Ausberry was telling us the whole week he really liked Ohio State, so I thought that's where he was going. Then I was suprised when he said he was coming to SC. A lot of the players wouldn't even tell us where they are going."
Although the recruiting process is over for Wright, he still has one final visit to USC this weekend.
"Yeah, I'm tripping this weekend. I've got one more trip left, and I know there are some other recruits who will be there. So I'm going to see if I can influence them to come to SC."
Wright was supposed to make the trip with friend and fellow defensive back Devin Ross, but is not sure about that now.
"I heard he was coming, but I don't know now, I've been trying to call him but his phones been busy. I heard he might be going to Texas this weekend. So I'm gonna see what he's doing."
Wright had a message he wanted to let the Trojan fans know about his plans when he steps on campus.
"I'm definitely looking forward to coming in and contributing a whole lot. I want to get a lot of playing time and possibly start. I don't care who's coming, I'm just going to compete hard to get that starting spot."
