Trojans offer Arkansas OL

Offensive lineman Lee Ziemba (6-6, 285) from Rogers, AR said he received a scholarship offer from USC on Thursday. Ziemba said Pete Carroll offered the scholarship during a phone conversation and USC is a school he's seriously considering.

"I like the prestige of the school academically and athletically," Ziemba said. "I like Pat Ruel, he's coached in the NFL a lot and I like Pete Carroll. Coach Ruel is real down-to-earth, he talks to you on the same level, and he seems like he's a real good teacher. I speak to him about once a week."

Ziemba said he plans to visit several schools he's interested in this summer, but he's only sure of one visit at this time.

"I plan to attend USC's camp this summer," Ziemba said.

With thoughts of committing early, his unofficial visits to schools he's considering could be his last.

"I have all these scholarship offers and I haven't even seen the campuses yet, Ziemba said. "I'm going to get to a few the schools to find out where I feel I'll fit in best, and be most comfortable. I don't have a timetable for deciding on a school, but I'd like to make an early decision."

Ziemba said he doesn't have plans to attend any Scout.com or Nike combines this spring.
