Reed is a big playmaker who stars on both sides of the ball for his team. As a wide receiver, he had 1,266 yards on 58 catches for 15 touchdowns. From his cornerback position, he had 56 tackles and 9 interceptions, 3 of which he returned for touchdowns. He's also a star on special teams where he returned 4 kickoffs and 3 punts for scores. He's obviously a threat to score from anywhere on the field.
"SC, Florida, Washington, Arizona, and Arizona State" top Reed's list of favorites with offers from all but Florida and Washington out of that group. On the topic of a favorite, Reed did say one school sticks out right now, "Probably USC," he said. "They have a great coaching staff there, a great football program, and a great academic program. Coach Carroll, he's a cool guy. He knows how to coach. He has a good attitude on the football field and everything."
It was at the Trojan Football Camp that Reed got the attention of the USC coaching staff and an offer followed immediately. The camp also provided him with a chance to work on his game, "It went really well," he said. "I learned a lot of new things. They changed a lot of stuff, like my stance and everything. So it went pretty well."
Despite some rumors that Reed could potentially commit in the very near future, he explained that he wants to back off on making a decision and plans on "probably taking some trips." "I'm looking at the different coaching staff's, you know, I've got to meet the coaching staff and make sure I fit in there. Also their academics, and their football program."
Reed is currently working out everyday with his team in preparation for next season and he's looking forward to passing league which is starting up in two weeks.
