"Right now USC is my number two pick because I don't have an offer from them yet. If I did get an offer from them, I'd possibly commit. Coach (Pete) Carroll came to my practice on Tuesday (4/25). They are looking at me for offensive tackle. He said he wants me to come to the lineman camp in June and that, right now, they have four lineman scholarships available and the camp will determine who gets them. I really like the campus and the coaches. They are all really enthusiastic. I'm going to take official visits to USC and Stanford for sure."
Reardon said he prefers to play defense, but that offense is fine with him too. Position won't be a factor in his decision. "I like hitting, but it doesn't matter if I play offense or defense. I'm going to make my decision according to the school and the program, not the position.
"I really like Arizona State too," Reardon said. I went there last month for a visit. Everything is so nice there. The weather is beautiful…it's really hot down there. The facilities are amazing. I don't have an offer yet, but I've been talking to Coach Tom Osborne and he said that they are really interested in me for defensive end. I'm hoping for an offer soon. They seem a little bit slower offering than other schools. I've heard that they only offered two guys from Southern California so far.
"Arizona is really nice too," Reardon said. "I really like their line coach. I met Coach (Kasey) Dunn today (4/27). He said they want me for tackle. They were my second offer, about two or three months ago. I visited the campus the same time I visited Arizona State. I really liked the campus…the facilities were really nice. They have that whole thing going with Nike. I think their program is getting better every year. They really are up-and-coming.
"I like Nebraska a lot too. They want me for defensive end. I got my offer from them a couple of months ago. I don't know much about the program and I've never been to the campus. I haven't talked to the coaches yet. All I know is that they are all about football. When you have 50,000 plus fans at your spring game, there's something special about the place. I'm not sure when I'll take a visit there."
Reardon said he is not as high on UCLA and he once was. "I know I said if I got an offer from them, I'd commit there. But things change. No disrespect to UCLA, they have an amazing program, but after attending their junior day, I just didn't feel like Westwood was the place for me. I didn't leave with that warm, fuzzy feeling in my belly like I did with all the others."
Final junior stats: 80 tackles/eight sacks; bench: 315/squat: 400
