USC Draft Day preview

RB Reggie Bush

It's doubtful at this point that we will see Bush drop below the #2 spot to the New Orleans Saints. The Saints staff certainly didn't see this one coming but now they will be happy to add Reggie to the backfield along with new quarterback Drew Brees.

QB Matt Leinart

There has been much speculation in recent days that Tennessee Titans GM and owner will elect to choose Vince Young rather than listen to the wishes of Jeff Fisher and Norm Chow. I can't imagine anyone who saw the Chow/Leinart duo in action who would want to pass on making it happen again.

OL Winston Justice

It appears as if his Pro Day workout has solidified Winston as a top 10 pick in the draft and there have even been some recent rumblings that he could end up being the first offensive lineman selected. Regardless, you can't blame Winston for coming out early with the results he will see on Saturday.

RB LenDale White

As much as Winston helped himself on Pro Day, there were some who worried that LenDale had hurt himself just as much. After all the talk is done, LenDale will still end up being a first round selection by a team who will be thrilled to add this big back to their line-up.

TE Dominique Byrd

It didn't take long for NFL scouts at the Senior Bowl to realize what USC fans have long known, Dom is a unique tight end who can be a real playmaker. He may climb into the first round but chances are he will have to wait until Round Two before hearing his name called.

OL Deuce Lutui

Generally regarded as the #2 guard in the draft, look for Deuce to be selected in the second round. It should be quite a celebration at the Arizona home he shares with his wife and son.

DB Darnell Bing

Darnell measured in as the biggest DB at the combine and he was even worked out at LB by some teams. Look for Darnell to be selected either in the second or third rounds.

OL Fred Matua

When Fred first announced that he was declaring for the draft a lot of people were skeptical but after good workouts at the combine and Pro Day there is now talk of him being selected as early as the third or fourth round.
