USC offers Da'John Harris

Da'John Harris (6-4, 260) from Serra High in Gardena, CA said he received a scholarship offer from USC yesterday.

Harris is one of the top tight end/defensive tackles prospects on the West Coast.

Two days ago Harris said USC and UCLA weren't in his top-seven, but the offer catipulted the Trojans to his top spot.

"You can put USC at No. 1," Harris said. "USC is my dream school and it's a great feeling to have an offer."

Although USC is now the frontrunner for Harris, he said he'll still go through the recruiting process and take some trips in the fall. One trip could be to Miami.

"If Miami offered, they would probably move to No. 2," Harris said. "I don't care if Miami is a long way from L.A., a school is a school, and if it feels right, that's where I'm going."

UCLA and Washington are two other schools Harris is considering.

Harris will attend the May 7 Scout.com All-American Combine in Los Angeles.

"I've been waiting a long time for this combine," Harris said. "I finally get the opportunity to show everyone what I can do."
