Davis lists USC in Top Two

Offensive lineman Anthony Davis of Piscataway, N.J.,is one of the most highly recruited linemen in the country. Davis said he has over 30 offers, and numerous college coaches have visited the past few weeks. The latest high profile visitor was Pete Carroll, who stopped by Piscataway High this afternoon. Davis didn't have an opportunity to speak with the Pete Carroll, but Davis spoke with his coach after the visit.

"They said they really want me to come to their school and they were saying I'd have a chance to play early," Davis said.

Davis was asked if there were any schools he was favoring.

"USC and Miami," Davis said. "I like the Miami offensive line coach, Coach (Mario) Cristobal--I like him a lot. I also like the tradition and the way they are a family-oriented program. The coach says I'll be able to play early there, too. I'll be going to down to Miami sometime in June for one of their camps.

"I talked to Dwayne Jarrett about USC and he said he really likes it there, and he said it would be a good fit for me. I also like the coaches and the tutoring program they have for the football players. I'll unofficially visit USC is August."

Davis said he'll also officially visit the Trojans and Hurricanes again during the football season, and isn't sure about any other official visits at this point.
