Nike passing tournament photos

Oaks Christian HS, featuring future Trojans Marc Tyler and Marshall Jones, took home the championship today from the Nike 7 on 7 passing tournament held at Long Beach City College. Click below to review photos from the event:

* Oaks Christian won the title and they have as impressive of an offensive group as you will find this year. It all starts with Jimmy Clausen, he looked every bit the All-American today. Tyler and Jones looked good as well, both running and catching the ball, while Sean Wiser is quietly establishing himself as one of the top receivers in the state. Casey Matthews had a pair of interceptions in the championship game victory over Edison.

* Kenny Rowe from Poly has been recruited basically as a defensive end but today he looked very good as a tight end and the Jackrabbit coaches are thinking of using him more in an "Antonio Gates" kind of role. The Poly secondary, including Warren, didn't have their best day as they got beat by Mission Viejo due to some deep passes.
